one of my christmas presents from last year was tickets to see Animal Collectives. It happened at the Opera House this past thursday. It was really nice. I believe this should be the last concert until Coachella. I really hope not. I really want to see Sterolab..Money needs to pour down from the sky right above my lil house on Burlington Cres.
Life is a twirl of maple syrup sprinkled with drops of sour lemon juice. I am excited,perplexed. Waiting. Reaccuring themes need to be settled. I started and quit my job at the TSO within a week. I was doing fundraising for a great Arts Organization yet calling 'friends and families' of the TSO for sponsorship just isn't where my strengths are. So I am a swinger for jobs. I will be helping out in the Unititled Arts Awards this week at the PHoenix, which should be great, I'll be seeing old friends from the LiveArts program, whom are nominated for awards. The Tijuana Bibles are performing! Do you know the Tijuana Bibles? They're CRAZY! They perform always with maskes on and are obcessed with...I'm sorry to say this to your innocent ears..Nude females wrestling. Apparently they put on a crazy show live. On the volunteers list they are looking for a guy who would want to be dress up in some gorilla custume for the wrestling ring. WHAT THE?! haha. I'm definately looking forward to it.

but in someway I love it because as an artist, you art is enriched by experiences, and this has been, a wonderful experience.
I got many great music and great movies out of this deal. haha.
I watched Donnie Darko last night. I can't believe I've never watched it. I have been in love with Jake Gyllenaal for superficial reasons. He is so great in this film. It is a weird one, this film. God and His superplan for everyone...time travelling..heh.

this was flashed across the screen 4 times tonight on TSN's 'That's Hockey!". Twice on the canada logo twice the whole picture. There was also a work in progress shot. Now all i need is the paycheque and his autograph so i can sell it on ebay. or give it to my sister. or sell it on ebay. =) 
...I just learned from dan the trophy was designed by the person..none other than mister frank ghery himself. impressive.
i watched 2046. it was the longest movie. it was beautifully shot, love the story. just a tad bit long.

been productive! i'm the queen of freelance now. finishing up my Martin Bodeur portrait today for TSN. the segment's airing this thursday night ..I have no idea when..but its exciting indeed. been painting lots these days. seems like the only logical thing to do anyway. I need to get ready!
been going out to shows as well =) hey sean cullen came into work one day..its fun seeing ppl you recognise yet you don't want to alarm them with overexcitment. so i usually leave them alone. ron sexsmith i always see up and down queen st. and in my store as well, he looks v. unpleasant in real life. i adore his music. I was at the pheonix last week he was playing inside while i was waiting for friends to show up so i could get in...they arrived right after ron played. that was a disappointment.

I'M GOING TO COACHELLA FEST!
